Yep, today is Mercury Day, Wednesday or Mercredi or Mercoledi etc etc. This is the day of the planet that rules communication, the gift of gab if you will. Your anal-retentive aka well spoken, witty, super engaging friends are probably the signs ruled by this god, meaning they are likely Mutable signs of either Air, (Gemini) or Earth (Virgo). Your Gemini friend that won't stop gabbing about literally everything and has told you all the local gossip and covered nearly every topic known to man in the 3hours you've met up with them or your Virgo friend who is already digging through a book or looking up on their phone what you've casually mentioned to them like 2 seconds ago. Gemini is the collector and Virgo is the analyzer, together you are assured that someone is actively listening to you and/or dissecting everything you just said and compiling it for later. They also hate to be misquoted (but that's most Air Signs) Virgo being an honourary Air Sign since they sure as heck don't act Earthy.
So cheers to the master communicators! Mind you, this only comes when they've done their shadow work and faced their little demons (and that applies to every sign with their positive traits). It's also important to consider where Gemini and Virgo are in YOUR chart, if you have any planets in Gemini or Virgo, where Gemini and Virgo sit in your houses and what sits in your Gemini and Virgo houses (that would be House #3 and House #6 respectively). If your Mercury is in Gemini you're definitely fun at parties, if your Mercury is in Virgo you may want to let loose a little more at parties, if your Mercury is in Aries like me you may want to steer clear of parties so you don't set someone on fire…..
Card of the Day Today: The Fool (from the Modern Goddess Tarot Deck)
Sometimes an over-analytical brain can prevent you from the simple pleasures in life. The Fool isn't about being stupid or someone who is an idiot, although it does seem that way since they are poised to fall of a cliff….it's about being at the beginning of a journey, maybe the journey will be good, maybe it will be bad, maybe both but the point is it's a start and it's best to approach it with an open mind and an open heart to be hopeful to see what is out there. This card is normally accompanied by a very agitated dog trying to warn this “idiot” that a cliff is ahead, I like to think of the dog as your intuition barking loudly at you on your journey preparing you in some small way for whatever is to come. The Fool doesn't really know much of anything since it's the start of something, some may call that dumb or stupid but some may simply see it as a clean slate and who couldn't use one of those?
